McLaughlin Peak

McLaughlin Peak (74°35′S 64°18′W / 74.583°S 64.3°W / -74.583; -64.3) is a peak standing 9 nautical miles (17 km) east-southeast of Mount Aaron in the north part of the Latady Mountains, in Palmer Land. Mapped by United States Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1961-67. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Robert H. McLaughlin, U.S. Navy, engineman with the South Pole Station winter party in 1964.
