Controversies
In 2008 HCA began planning a $9 million emergency clinic in Spring Hill, Tennessee. Maury Regional Medical Center, Williamson Medical Center and Vanderbilt University Medical Center each filed a joint complaint with the state which after several appeals resulted in HCA abandoning plans to pursue a facility in Spring Hill.
