Career
Youth
Rosenlund began his youth career playing for Coquitlam Metro-Ford SC.[1] He later signed with the Vancouver Whitecaps FC Academy of the Super Y-League. After spending a couple of years playing for the Whitecaps he signed with the Abbotsford Mariners[2] also of the Super Y-League.[3] In his last year of youth soccer he went back to Coquitlam to play for a very promising Coquitlam Metro-Ford side that finished 4th at the British Columbia Provincial Soccer Championship. Rosenlund was a key player in his teams run to the provincials having claimed MVP honors at the clubs regional final.
Professional
After a successful youth campaign, Rosenlund was quickly picked up by Surrey United of the Pacific Coast Soccer League. He scored on his Surrey United debut on May 9, 2009 appearing as a substitute during a 3-1 win over Whitecaps FC Prospects.[4] During the off season Rosenlund played for local outfit PoCo Rangers FC.[5][6] While with PoCo Rosenlund was selected as a standout and chosen for the leagues All Star Team.
In 2010, Rosenlund was signed by Abbotsford Mariners of the MLS U23 League. He made his debut for Abbotsford Mariners on May 14, 2010 as a starter against Vancouver Whitecaps Residency.[7]
Since completing his successful campaign in the MLS U23 Rosenlund has been quickly signed by Sapperton Rovers of the prestigious VMSL. Rosenlund came off to a flying start with a 1 goal and an assist in his first game and then two goals in his second game of the season. Since then he has excelled offensively and defensively recording 9 goals so far this season and 15 assists.
Personal life
Rosenlund was born in Burnaby, BC to Bob & Lori Rosenlund. He grew up in Port Coquitlam with his parents and two brothers, older brother Tyler Rosenlund who currently plays for Toronto FC of the Major League Soccer and younger brother Cole Rosenlund.
