Matthew Long (born 27 June 1975) is an Olympic-level rower, who competes for Australia.[1]

Long attended Newington College[2] and coached by olympian and fellow Old Newingtonian Michael Morgan. He rowed in three Head of the River crews, twice being successful in the 1st Eights race.[3]

In 2000 he again teamed up with James and competed in the Men's coxless four with James placing 3rd. In 2004 Athens Olympics he rowed with his brother James and Stephen in the Men's Eight placing third.
