Mątowy Małe — Village — Coordinates: 53°59′53″N 18°52′3″E / 53.99806°N 18.8675°E Country Poland Voivodeship Pomeranian County Malbork Gmina Miłoradz Population 200 Mątowy Małe [mɔnˈtɔvɨ ˈmawɛ] (German: Klein Montau) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Miłoradz, within Malbork County, Pomeranian Voivodeship, in northern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) south-west of Miłoradz, 12 km (7 mi) west of Malbork, and 44 km (27 mi) south of the regional capital Gdańsk.
Before 1772 the area was part of Kingdom of Poland, 1772-1919 Prussia and Germany, 1920-1939 Free City of Danzig, 1939 - february 1945 Nazi Germany. For the history of the region, see History of Pomerania.
