Peetadhipathi

Peetadhipati, or Peethadhipati or Mathadipathi, is the senior religious member of a Hindu Monastery (Matha). He is the sole and whole authority of the Mutt or Math or Monastery. He is the legal representative of that Monastery. His Shishya becomes the legal heir or mathadipath or peethadipati after his death.
