Matadero Madrid is an initiative carried out by the Madrid Council’s Department of the Arts, in collaboration with other public and private bodies to convert old municipal slaughterhouse (plot of 148,300 m2) to the city’s biggest centre for contemporary creation and a leading international space dedicated to present-day creation[1].
