Mary C. Moran is a former mayor of Bridgeport, Connecticut.

Mayor of Bridgeport

Moran was both the first female as well as the first Republican mayor of Bridgeport.[1] In 1991 she became famous for filing for municipal bankruptcy.[2]

Moran lost the 1991 election to Mr. Joseph P. Ganim, who received 15,768 votes compared to 10,951 for Ms. Moran and 2,258 for other candidates.[3]
