Marshal Konev Street (Улица Ма́ршала Ко́нева) is a street in the Shchukino District, North-Western Administrative Okrug, Moscow, Russia. The direction is from west to east: East of Raspletin Street (Улица Расплетина) and west on the 1st Volokolamskiy Avenue (1-й Волоколамский проезд).

History

Naming

In May 28, 1973, In order to remember Ivan Stepanovich Konev, the Marshal of the Army of Soviet Union, the Soviet Government merged the 2nd Volokolamskiy Avenue (2-й Волоколамский проезд) and the 3rd October Fields Street (3-й Улица Октябрьского Поля), in a new street named after him.

Another name of Marshal Konev Street is: “Улица Министра (The Minister Street)”. It was due to the presence of all the Ministers of the Government of Brezhnev living in this street.
