The Maroons of Sierra Leone were the second group of immigrants to Freetown, Sierra Leone. The Maroons were the same ethnic group as the Jamaican Maroons and they came from Trelawny Town, Jamaica. In Sierra Leone, Maroons and 'Settlers' (Nova Scotians Settlers) were antagonistic towards each other.
