Markus Wiechel

Gustaf Markus Wiechel, born April 15, 1988, in Ljungsbro outside of Linköping, Sweden, is a Swedish politician (Sweden Democrat).

Markus Wiechel is currently the chairman for the Sweden Democrats regional board in Östergötland as well as the chairman in the local board in the city of Norrköping. He is the group leader for the party in Norrköping City Council and one of three substitutes for the Sweden Democrats in the Parliament of Sweden (Riksdag).[1][2][3][4]

The Norrköping district court found in two separate verdicts in June 2010 Wiechel guilty of libel. In one case he was considered provoced, and did not have to pay damages to the plaintiff Tommy Funebo.[5] One verdict was affirmed by the Göta Court of Appeal.[6]
