He took part in the Chess World Cup 2011, but was eliminated in the first round by Evgeny Alekseev.[1]
He won the Austrian Chess Championship in 2008[2] and played for Austria in the Chess Olympiads of 2008 and 2010.[3] In 2011, he tied for 1st–5th with Alexander Areshchenko, Yuriy Kuzubov, Parimarjan Negi and Ni Hua in the 9th Parsvnath Open Tournament.[4]
On the November 2011 FIDE list his Elo rating is 2662.
