Mark Kersey is a businessman and community leader in San Diego. His company, Kersey Strategies,[1] is a telecommunications firm based in Rancho Bernardo, a suburb of San Diego, which specializes in the HDTV, IPTV, telecommunications and cable fields.[2]

Kersey is an analyst in the broadband, telecom, cable and HDTV industries, and has appeared as an industry expert on multiple television and radio programs. He has also been quoted in publications including The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, The New York Times, MSNBC, Business Week, Bloomberg News, the San Diego Union-Tribune, The Los Angeles Times and the Associated Press.[3] Kersey has testified before the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio regarding the regulation of advanced telecom services and has also moderated sessions at the The International Consumer Electronics Show, a major technology-related trade show held each January, as well as other broadband industry conferences.[4]
Community and Political Involvement
Mark Kersey has spent years involved in community organizations, charities, and political organizations. Specifically, for the past five years Mark Kersey has been a co-chairman of the advisory board for First Book - San Diego,[5] a non-profit organization that promotes childhood literacy throughout the region,[6] and is also active with the Rady Children’s Hospital Foundation.[7] He is a past board member at Casa de Amistad, a mentoring program for Hispanic children in north San Diego County. He is also actively involved in the Rancho Bernardo Business Association[8] and the Rancho Bernardo Rotary.[9]
Kersey is very involved in San Diego politics, most notably as a member of the board of directors of the Lincoln Club of San Diego County.[10] He also serves as the Lincoln Club’s 2011 Legislative Affairs Committee co-chair. Additionally, he is a past member of the San Diego County Republican Party’s Central Committee and Executive Committee.[11]
