Mario Party 9 (マリオパーティ9 Mario Pāti Nain) is an upcoming party video game for the Nintendo Wii.^[2] It was officially announced at E3 2011^[3] and is currently under development.

Like previous Mario Party titles, four players take part in each game, composed of a virtual board, and move around a variety of themed lands to collect coins and stars, while avoiding certain spaces. A new feature in one of the boards is that all four players move around in a car.^[4][5] Minigames will re-appear, and have a larger focus on the gameplay than they did in the previous game.^[6][7]
