Mariano Fernández (born 2 September 1978 in Lanús) is an Argentine football defender who currently plays in Italy at Sorrento in Serie C2 after being transferred from Dinamo Bucureşti in Romania.

Fernández has also played for Lanús and Belgrano in Argentina, Sturm Graz in Austria, S.C. Beira-Mar in Portugal, Torino F.C. in Italy and Real Murcia, Córdoba CF in Spain and Dinamo Bucureşti in Romania. He also was on trial on Dutch powerhouse Feyenoord, but never played for the team.
