Diversity 6 species Marengo is a spider genus of the Salticidae family (jumping spiders). Most of the six described species are endemic to Sri Lanka, with one species occurring in Thailand.
Name
The genus name is derived from Marengo, a village in Italy, and the name of Napoleon's horse. (See also Afromarengo and Indomarengo)
