Marcus Eli Ravage (Max Ravitch) (June 25, 1884 Berlad, Romania – October 6, 1965 Grasse, France) was an American immigrant writer[1] and personal biographer of the Rothschilds family.

Life
He was a Romanian Jewish immigrant in 1900. He lived in the Lower East Side. He learned English at night school.[2] He graduated from the University of Missouri, in 1909, and University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.[3] He studied at Columbia University, and taught at Kansas State Agricultural College.[4]
He married Mary Louise Martin; they had children Susanne Anna (December 20, 1916), Louise Belle (February 14, 1918),and John Mark (February 10, 1924), and they lived in New York City and Paris. He was European correspondent for the Nation,[5] and his work appeared in the New Republic, and Harper's.[6]
He wrote about the problem of acculturation of immigrants.[7]
His piece "A Real Case Against the Jews", in the Century Magazine[8] has been circulated.[9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16]
Ravage died, at the age of 81, on Wednesday, October 6, 1965, at his home in Grasse, France, after a brief illness.
