Men's team handball World Championships Silver 2007 Germany Team Bronze 2009 Croatia Team Marcin Lijewski (born 21 September 1977 in Krotoszyn) is a Polish team handball player, playing on the Poland national handball team. He received a silver medal with the Polish team at the 2007 World Men's Handball Championship and a bronze medal at the 2009 World Men's Handball Championship in Croatia. He participated at the 2008 Summer Olympics, where Poland finished 5th.[1]
He was chosen the best right backcourt of World Championships in 2007 and 2009.
He is currently playing for the German club HSV Hamburg. His brother Krzysztof Lijewski is also playing on the Polish national handball team and for the HSV.
