After signing from local Recreativo de Huelva with RCD Espanyol to complete his football grooming, Molina made his first team debuts at only 18, playing the last minute of the 3–1 home win against Getafe CF, on 29 August 2010. One month later, he started and played the entire match at Real Madrid, but the Catalans lost it 0–3.
