In April, 2011, Manoj Juneja, a citizen of India, was appointed as one of the two Deputy Directors-General of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).[1]
Manoj Juneja assumed his new role as the Deputy Director-General for Operations as of 1 July 2011. He has 24 years of UN experience, having served at the International Labour Organization (ILO)[2] as well as in FAO's Office of Programme, Budget and Evaluation, Technical Cooperation, and Corporate Services, Human Resources and Finance departments.
He holds a Master's degree in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.[3]
Manoj Juneja replaced Changchui He who had held the position since January 2010 and retired at the end of June 2011.
