Growth

The locality expanded since the mid-1990s, when many government servants preferred to buy properties or build houses in this area of Thiruvananthapuram due to the excellent infrastructure facility available like available water in plenty, land etc.[citation needed] This led to a property boom, which was accentuated by the establishment of the Doordarshan Kendra nearby, as well as the accessibility of hospitals and well-run private schools. Good access to downtown Thiruvananthapuram – through KSRTC city buses, as well as autos – helped large-scale migration.
