- Mankotia
-
The Mankotia are a Rajput clan found mainly in the Indian states of Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. They get their name from the state of Mankot in what is now Jammu and Kashmir. The Mankotia are said to be a clan of Jamwal Dogras, although both these clan are now distinct. While other traditions make them by origin Kachwaha Rajputs. They are a Dogra sub-group, and their customs are similar to other Dogras.[1]
