Born as Amanda Moseley in Hollywood, Florida, she is the daughter of actor/comedian Mark Moseley.
Rain began her career at an early age when she was casted in the Giggle Club until she was vetted by Nick Cannon to be the lead singer for The School Gyrls. Rain appeared in several movies A Very School Gyrls Holla-Day, The School Gyrls, and some television shows The Nightlife, Party Monsters, Star Camp, My Super Sweet 16, and Dance Revolution before leaving the all girl group to pursue a solo singing career. In January 2011, Rain officially announced that she was no longer a member of the popular girl group and planned to pursue a solo career. In October of 2011 Mandy released her first solo single "Boogie" and the video is set to be released in November 2011.
Music career
Rain's first big hit was with the School Gyrls "Something Like A Party" in 2010 which generated buzz and charted on the Billboard Hot Dance/Club Play chart at #5 for 13 weeks in a row. She has since then been featured in Celebuzz,[1] BOP and Tigerbeat,[2] Beautylish.com,[3] TheDailyLove.com,[4] Clevvertv.com,[5] Oceanup.com,[6] and various other blogs and magazines.[7]
In October 2011, Rain released her first solo single Boogie, produced by GProductions and written by Rock City.
