The show focuses on Hawke teaching his wife various survival skills such as starting fire without the aid of modern implements like matches and lighters, locating hard-to-find sources of water, and eating non-traditional forms of food such as insects and arachnids. An emergency crew remains on permanent stand-by during filming should any life-threatening situations arise.
Season One consisting of ten episodes debuted in July of 2010. Season Two episodes began airing in September of 2011.
