V. Madhavan Nair, (1915–1996) was a well known author in Malayalam who wrote children's literature under the pen name Mali. Born to Sadasyatilakan T.K.Veluppillai he was a good tennis player in his younger days. He wrote about fifty novels and shortstories for children.His best known work is Karnashapatham,^[1] a text for Kathakali performance. He retired from the Al India radio as a statio director.He was also editor of 'Malika' a magazine for children.
