John Scott of Balcomie (bapt. 1725, died 1775) was a Scottish politician and general. He became the MP for Caithness, Scotland in 1754. In 1772 he purchased Denmylne Castle in Fife.[1]

He married Margaret, daughter of Robert Dundas, Lord Arniston, the younger.[2] They had three daughters:
In 1770, he married again, to Lady Mary Hay, daughter of the Earl of Errol, then 16 years old; they divorced in 1771.[4]
