The Xylo was launched on 13 January 2009 at Nashik. Four variants-E2,E4,E6 and E8 are available with a price range of Rs 712,300-940,000. More than 3,000 units of Xylo were sold in March 2009.[1]

History
The project, which initially had the codename of Ingenio, was announced by the company in 2006 and targeted both the Toyota Innova and Chevrolet Tavera.[2][3]The project cost Mahindra around Rs 550 crore.[4] Productions started in the Nashik plant in December 2008.[5]

In January, after the completion of a successful year of the MUV, a new model called as the Celebration Edition was launched. Only 1000 units were made of this unit to project its uniqueness.
This version of the Xylo had a Dvd player along with a 9" screen, Exclusive Decals, Pearl white finish and genuine Italian leather Seat covers in addition to the features of the E6 model
