Contents

Description

The shopping center will be located at the former Greenville Mall location which is at the intersection of Woodruff Road, I-385/Golden Strip Freeway, and Interstate 85.

History

The mixed-use development replaced the Greenville Mall which was dying or dead.

The development was proposed in 2006, the original size was supposed to be over 1,300,000 sq ft (120,000 m2) including Retail, Office, Residential, Hotel, and a theater. The site-plan has been change multiple times since 2006 to bring it down to 900,000 sq ft (84,000 m2). The development began construction for the second time on January 14, 2009.

Site-Plan

The current site plan will include:

  • Retail 650,000 sq ft (60,000 m2).
  • Office 100,000 sq ft (9,300 m2).
  • Hotel 70,000 sq ft (6,500 m2).
  • Theater 80,000 sq. ft. (existing)

Future plans

Since the development is so massive in a bad economy it has been split in to two phases.

There were plans for the City of Greenville and Magnolia Park Town Center developers to work together to build a highway exit, to relieve traffic off the already busy Woodruff Road. The plan's for the exit seem to be dead as of 2007/2008

Stores

Magnolia Park Town Center is to bring many firsts to Greenville and South Carolina. (There isn't a tenant list out yet, but these are expected.) Currently there are several stores operating.

Rooms to Go is under construction.
