Jesse Racusen is a Boston native who specializes in illustrative painting. Raised in Dorchester, Massachusetts, Jesse recently graduated from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY with a BFA in Illustration/ Communications Design. A key contributor to Artists for Humanity, a South Boston non-profit organization, Jesse spent the majority of his summers in college working with young aspiring artists from the inner-city of Boston.

Subject Matter
Jesse has a a very adaptable style that spans across a wide variety of subjects. Known mostly for his figurative painting and illustrating ability, Jesse continues to work in many different mediums including (but not limited to) oils, acrylics, scratchboard and digital illustration. His subjects range from landscapes and portraiture to sports and the extraordinary. Experienced in murals and collaborative work, Jesse has shown the ability to influence and learn from others.[1][2]
Sports Artwork
In recent years, Jesse has found a niche in sports artwork. Baseball has been a subject in many of Jesse's recent works, as his works have gained notoriety in the baseball world. Notable commissions of late have been Red Sox Spanish broadcaster and NESN personality, Uri Berenguer and Julio Lugo,[3] former Major League Baseball shortstop. In 2008, Jesse donated a piece to Berenguer's charity auction, which was subsequently bought by former NESN broadcaster Tina Cervasio.[4]
Personal Life
Jesse currently resides in Boston, MA, where he works as a freelance artist constantly discovering new mediums through which to express himself.
