Dwikkoji (hangul: 뒤꽂이) is a Korean traditional ornament used to decorate ladies' chignon, and it has sharp end. When ladies put it on their chignon, it look like a jewelry embedded in hair.[1]
Three-leg golden Dwikkoji presumed to the period of Baekje, and it is presumed to the origin of Dwikkoji.[1]
The different dwikkoji correspond to social status: some are for royalty, others for nobility and others are for ordinary people. The most common Dwikkoji for ordinary people is Bichigae(hangul: 빗치개) and Guiigae(hangul: 빗치개) usually made by silver, and they both have fanciness and practicality.[1]
