Dunlop Island (77°14′S 163°30′E / 77.233°S 163.5°E) is a rocky island, 1 nautical mile (1.9 km) long, lying just off the Wilson Piedmont Glacier and the coast of Victoria Land, close northeast of Cape Dunlop. First mapped by the British Antarctic Expedition (1907–09) under Shackleton, who named it for H.J.L. Dunlop, chief engineer of the ship Nimrod.
