It has nearly 2,000 pupils aged 11–18.[1] The pupils come from the rural population around the Yorkshire Wolds area.

Academic Standards

The school was classed as 'good' in a 2006 Ofsted inspection. Elements of the post 16 provision were classified as 'outstanding'.
