Synopsis
Pern has to survive this pass. But even as those dragons and dragonsriders that fled back in time to heal their wounds arrive in the here and now the forces are still too thinly spread due to the recent plague.
After a shocking tragedy Fiona (three years older now) has to lead the Weyrs. But leading the weyrfolk and the dragonsriders that time-jumped proves to be a challenging task. An other task is to get even more reinforcements. Together with Lorana and her true love, the harper Kindan, Fiona works out a plan that might save them all if it succeeds.
