Reception

Overall reaction to the series on YouTube has been positive.[8]

S. Jim Browski of movie review website AintItCoolNews.com writes:

The series is innovative in the respect that it pushes the boundaries of the media experience, having a character that exists in not only live action webseries but also within a videogame. I appreciate her innovation, and hope she continues to push the limitations of what the Hollywood machine and media enable her to do. I have enjoyed the series so far and if you’re a fan of the fantasy genre it is another well produced by Felicia Day.[9]

SteveGarbage of GreyWardens.com also reviewed the series favorably.[4].

Yet, Armenian journalist and critic Bayandur Pogosyan has given "two thumbs down" to the series on his Google+ account, citing:

Watched the first episode of #DragonAge #Redemption , I'm afraid it failed miserably.

When a Qunari assassin tells a templar "I'm Tallis, and I work for the Qunari", that's at least stupid, at most - treason and suicide. Saarebas is, as a light inquiry into DA lore would show, a title, not a name, given to Qunari mages. Just like Sten, Arishok, Arvaarad, etc. The storyline seems boring, unconvincing and underdeveloped (there's the difference between "geeky" and "savvy" after all). Painfully modern for an old escapist like me. My guess is - "Charlie's Angels" with B-class decorations and DA cosmology. Am I going to watch the rest of the episodes? Nope.[10]
