Barry H. Corey

Barry Corey is the current president of Biola University located in Southern California.^[1] He was born November 28, 1961 in Quincy, MA. He started his education at a public high school then transferred to St. John's Preparatory High School for his junior and senior years. Following this, Dr. Corey attended Evangel University in Springfield, MO. After receiving his undergraduate Barry went to Boston College to receive his doctorate.

Barry Corey worked as an English Pastor at the Greek Evangelical Church in Newton, Massachusetts for 10 years while also advancing in position at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton. He last held the position of Dean before he was asked to be President of Biola University in La Mirada, California in 2007, following Clyde Cook, who had been there for 25 years. He started this post in the Summer of 2007. Students at Biola affectionately refer to him as "DBC."
