- Rob Janoff
Rob Janoff is a
graphic designer ofcorporate logo s and identities, printed advertisements andtelevision commercials . He is probably most famous for his creation of the Apple logo.In 1977, he worked for
Regis McKenna as an art director and was tasked to design the logo for Apple Computer, creating an apple with a bite out of it. He also created ads and printed materials for Apple. Later he also did design work for bothIBM andIntel .It has also been suggested that the idea for the Apple logo may have come from the story of the death of
Alan Turing who was found dead after he had taken a bite of an apple laced withcyanide . Another theory is that the missing bite is a reference to theFall of Man , representing the acquisition of knowledge.External links
