Life
Bayar was born in a family of partisan of Mongolian People’s Revolution, in 1946 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. After graduating Mongolian State University of Education in 1974, Bayar worked as a teacher within the University from 1974 to 1975, as a researcher in an Institute of History of Mongolian Academy of Sciences from 1975 to 2002, as a researcher in an Institute of Archaeology of Mongolian Academy of Sciences from 2002 to 2008, as a chairman of the archaeological department in Ulaanbaatar University from 2006 to 2010.
Archaeological Science
Bayar wrote 8 monographs, more than 10 teamwork, about 200 memoirs and scientific essays. His treatises were translated and published in many countries: Mongolia, Russia, Japan, Korea, China, Turkey, German, Hungary, Kazakhstan, etc.[1][2]
Bayar participated and managed about 30 field expeditions in Mongolia: Mongolian-Russian joint expedition, Mongolian-German “Kharkhorum” expedition, ”Studying Human Statues of East Mongolia” expedition, Mongolian-Japanese “Gurvan Gol” expedition, Mongolian-Korean “Dornod Mongol” expedition, UNESCO’s “Protecting ancient city of Kharkhorum” expedition, Mongolian-Turkish and Mongolian-Kazakhstan expedition etc. Bayar mainly studied archaeological records, human statues, and memorials. He became a Doctor of Science in 2001, professor of Ulaanbaatar University in 2003, corresponding member of the German Archaeological Institute in 2007. [3]Boxing
Bayar boxed and lifted weights competitively from his youth. He won a silver medal in the Asian Amateur Boxing Championships, held in 1971 in Tehran, Iran. He was a judge, conductor and coach of boxing sports.
