Douthyam is a 1989 Indian action film made in Malayalam starring Mohan Lal, Suresh Gopi, and Babu Antony. The film attracted media attention for action subject as the script was done by the famous Poster designer of Kerala, Gayathri Ashokan (B. Ashok).

Synopsis

A One man army rescues his colleagues from the dense forest, but he has to fight against a terrorist group and save confidential documents as well. The film resembled Sylvester Stallone's Rambo series. It was dubbed into Tamil as Captain Dhevaram and was well received. The film was remade into Telugu as Adavilo Abhimanyudu, starring Jagapathi Babu.

Reception

Douthyam received positive reviews and became a success at the Box-office as well. The technical brilliance of the film was well appreciated.
