The Douglas-Ewart High School (DEHS) is a secondary school, located on Corsbie Road, Newton Stewart, in Dumfries and Galloway, southwest Scotland. It has about 700 pupils. As of 2009[update], the current Head Teacher is Alex Cowie.
Douglas Ewart High School was opened in 1922. It was the amalgamation of the Douglas Free School opened in 1834 and the High School of the Ewart Institute opened in 1864.
The school is the only Secondary School for 25 miles and thus attracts most students in the area.
The school's motto is the Latin phrase "Honos Habet Munus"
The school is currently under construction, building a new building.
