Plot
The story consists of a somewhat ratty man, in a much rattier flat. There, he seems intent - and possibly even driven to insanity - with catching a doodlebug; ergo the film's title. However, after over 2 minutes of cat-and-mouse chasing, it is revealed that said doodlebug looks like a miniature version of himself, which he then proceeds to squash with a shoe, which has been his weapon of choice. However, before squashing it, we make a realization: every move that the doodlebug takes, the man takes as after a delay of about a second. Therefore, it is Kafka-esque indeed when after finally feeling the satisfaction of catching the doodlebug, that the aforementioned flat comes to inhabit a large face, that of the man; thereby making the man the doodlebug, and he proceeds to get squashed by this newer being.
