Donny Allen Lewis,(born December 7, 1976), is an American model and writer of American Indian decent.

Early life

Donny Lewis was born in Lubbock, Texas on December 7, 1976, as one of five children and grew up on a cotton farm. At the age of 17 he got discovered at the Texas State Fair by a Modelscout. He then signed with Next Model Management [1] and moved to New York at 18.

Modelling career

Lewis began working as a model at the age of 18 by signing a two-year contract with GUESS, shot by the photographer Pablo Alfaro. This brought his name to the public eye and evoked the interest of the fashion industry. Consequently he started working with photographers like Greg Kadel, Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott,[2] Camilla Akrans, Terry Richardson, Ellen von Unwerth, Mario Sorrenti, Michel Comte[3] etc. and for fashion designers[4] and brands such as Salvatore Ferragamo, Valentino,[5] Yohji Yamamoto, Bulgari,[6] Roberto Cavalli,[7] Hugo Boss, Kenneth Cole,[8] Rene Lezard,[9] Armani,Perry Ellis,[10] Mac,[11] H&M etc. He was the protagonist in numerous TV-Commercials, such as FA, Jägermeister, Michelob [12] and appeared in various music videos, among others for David Guetta and Kylie Minogue. Lewis was also part of two art projects of photographer/artist Spencer Tunick and appeared on a double page in the Nr.52 Visionaire[13] issue, shot by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott.

Lewis is signed with DNA Model Management[14] New York and has recently appeared in advertisement campaigns for Davidoff[15] and Pal Zileri.[16]
