Don Newman (born May 22, 1957) is a former college basketball coach. He was head coach of the Arizona State Sun Devils[1] team from 1997 to 1998, and the Sacramento State team from 1992 to 1997. He also was an assistant coach in the NBA with the San Antonio Spurs and New Jersey Nets. He also played 7 seasons of professional football in the Canadian Football League with the Montreal Alouettes, Ottawa Rough Riders and Saskatchewan Roughriders.[2]
