The dmexco (digital marketing exposition & conference) is a leading international exposition and conference for the digital industry, which took place for the first time in 2009 in Cologne. Consisting of a combination between a trade fair and a conference dmexco covers among others the theme areas online marketing, targeting, tracking, digital contents (moving images, audio advertising), social media, mobile marketing, affiliate marketing, email marketing, search engine marketing and in-game advertising and offers media owners, marketing experts, agencies (media agencies, creative agencies, full-service agencies) and technology specialists a presentation platform. The dmexco is organised by the Koelnmesse, its industry partners are the BVDW (Federal Association of the Digital Industry) and the OVK (Online Marketers Circle). Further official partners include the Working Group for Online Media Research (AGOF), the Art Directors Club (ADC), the Expert Forum of Online Media Agencies (FOMA), the German Association of Communications Agencies (GWA), IAB Europe (Interactive Advertising Bureau), the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) and the German Advertisers Association (OWM).
440 exhibitors (with approx. a 20% share from abroad) presented their products and services from September 21st-22nd, 2011 on a total surface area of more than 450,000 sq ft. Over the two days of the exposition around 19,300 professional visitors (with a 20% share from abroad) made their way to the exhibition grounds. More than 330 international top speakers provided the dmexco with an over 120-hour conference programme.[1][2] The next dmexco is scheduled from September 12th-13th, 2012.[3]
