Displacedness

Displacedness

Displacedness is a term from anthropology which refers to individuals who are (forcefully) removed from their place of origin. Displaced has influence on the personality and behaviour of the individuals moved, their family, and on others in their direct environment. In history, often entire communities have moved from one side of the globe to the other, creating communities which sometimes demonstrate behaviour which can be understood with the concept of displacedness.
