The movie captures the last week in the life of The Oswald, a small bankrupt conspiracy newspaper. It was Lawrence's first feature film, and the first film to come out of his production company, Modest Conspiracy.
Disney Shot Kennedy has been compared to Richard Linklater's Slacker and Kevin Smith's Clerks.[by whom?] The film was an official selection at the 2010 San Antonio Film Festival[1] where the local alternative weekly newspaper, the Current, listed it as one of "Five Films Not to Miss."[2] It was also an official selection at the 2010 Atlanta Underground Film Festival.[3]
