Discipline is the only solo album recorded by 1980s songwriter and producer Desmond Child. It was released on Elektra in 1991 and features his longer take on "Love on a Rooftop", a song he wrote for Cher on her 1989 album Heart of Stone. Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora appeared on the album as well; in addition to playing his usual array of guitars, he co-wrote two tracks (the title song and "According To The Gospel of Love"). Also notable is an appearance by the band's drummer, Tico Torres.
