Dingle Nunatak

Dingle Nunatak (64°31′S 57°23′W / 64.517°S 57.383°W / -64.517; -57.383) is a nunatak appearing within the main ice cap of Snow Hill Island, 2.8 km south of Day Nunatak. Named by United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee (UK-APC) in 1995 after Richard Vernon Dingle (b. 1943), Senior British Antarctic Survey (BAS) geologist (Paleoenvironmental change), a member of the BAS field party in the James Ross Island area from 1994-95.
