- Kajikawa Yoshiteru
Kajikawa Yosobei Yoshiteru (梶川与惣兵衛頼照, 1647-1722) was a direct retainer of the shogun during the
Edo period .He was engaged in Edo-jyo(江戸城) orusuibann (江戸城御留守居番)which translates to "the work which defends Edo castle".He inherited the "Kajikawa" family(梶川家) and became hatamoto (=旗本the direct vassal of a shogun). His annual salary was approximately 700 stones(七百石).
In 1701, he witnessed "
Asano Naganori (浅野長矩)" injure "Kira Kouzukenosuke ." He subsequently arrested Takuminokami.The action was investigated and his annual salary was changed to 1200 koku. He described the details of the incident in the "Kajikawa Soubei diary."Innner link
His grave is in Kanryuuzann Tentokuin(乾竜山天徳院),
Tokyo Nakano Ward .
