Dieter Pfaff (born October 2, 1947 in Dortmund, Germany) is a German actor.
Pfaff is best known for his role as the German police Hans Sperling in two films about the Swedish police Martin Beck. Thoes films are Flickan i jordkällaren and Den japanska shungamålningen. In 2002 he starred in Goebbels und Geduldig.
Between 1984 and 1996 he played Otto Schatzschneider in the German krimi series Der Fahnder.
Pfaff has two twins; Johanna and Maximilian Pfaff, together with his wife Eva Maria. He was professor for acting at the Graz University of Music and Performing Arts 1983–90.
Pfaff's father was a police officer.
