Diem Brown

Diem Brown (born June 12, 1982 in Roswell, Georgia) was a cast member on MTV's reality television series, Real World/Road Rules Challenge: Fresh Meat. She has since been a regular on the spin-off series, Real World/Road Rules Challenge, and has participated in five challenges as of 2011. Diem is most remembered for her struggle as it was revealed during Fresh Meat Challenge that she had just been diagnosed with ovarian cancer.^[1]

Challenges

Fresh Meat was the twelfth season of Real World/Road Rules Challenge. Filmed in Australia, it featured two-player teams; each team had an alumnus of The Real World or Road Rules partnered with a newcomer to the Challenge (collectively known as the "Fresh Meat"). This is the first edition of the Fresh Meat series.

The Duel

Diem just completing her treatment for cancer went on to compete in The Duel. She took off her wig during one of the competitions and this has been viewed as one of the most memorable and touching challenge moments.

MedGift

Diem created the website MedGift, a patient gift registry, so patients can get help from family and friends while in treatment.^[2]
